Kevin MuldoonThe Post Timestamp is going to get used to full effect

I haven’t really spoke to much about myself on here but i’ll be travelling for a month soon and will be away from the computer and will have to use the fabulous time stamp feature to post articles here.

First off ill explain a little about why i am in this position :)

As some of you already know, Im from the UK but im currently living in New Zealand. Being self employed through the internet allows me a lot of freedom and over the last few years i have travelled throughout Asia and the USA. I left Scotland in November 2006 stopping in Thailand for a month, Singapore for 3 days and Australia for 6 weeks over the Christmas period and then arrived in New Zealand on 23rd January 2007. Im here on a 23 month working holiday visa however there is a good chance ill be back home for Christmas.

So why do you need to use the Post Timestamp

Other than a week or so travelling up to the very north of New Zealand and a weekend in Rotorua in our old camper van (we’ve since sold it!), we have spent all of our time living in Auckland. Two weeks today we are moving out of our flat, getting the backpacks back on her backs and jumping on the bus. It will take us about 3 to 4 weeks to travel all of New Zealand before we arrive in ChristChurch which is where we will be getting a flat and settling for another 3 months.

After that, myself and my friend Michael are travelling throughout South America for two months and perhaps going up to the USA before heading home for christmas. We’re hoping to travel through 5 or 6 countries in South America so im gonna have to start learning Spanish (which im actually pretty keen on doing!). Mike’s got family in Arizona and my brothers wife is from Michigan so we could go up and stay with them for a week or so before heading home.

Ill worry about posting whilst in South America later this year. At the moment my main concern is making sure this blog continues to grow whilst im travelling for a month. I have made a list about 15 posts i am going to write but im hoping to double that so that i can use the timestamp and space out posts to publish every day whilst im away. I can assure you though that the quality of posts won’t drop – id rather publish less posts if that was an issue. What i will do is prepare all posts a few days before i leave and then datestamp them depending on how long i will be away (it could be 5 or 6 weeks until im actually settled in a flat).

First of all, if any readers want to help out and write for Blogging Tips, please let me know within the next week or so and i can set up your account for you.

Secondly, i apologise to those who read the blog every day or subscribe to my feed. I hope this is just a minor inconvenience to you :)

Last but not least, if there is a wordpress, CSS, blogging, domain names, hosting or search engine topic you want me to cover specifially please let me know in the forums and ill do my best to cover it in one of my posts (or any other topic for that matter).

I will still be logging onto the internet through net cafes when i can so you’ll probably see me commentating every now and then:)

Thanks,

Kevin
