Kevin MuldoonBlogging Tips goes funky red

Written by Kevin Muldoon from System0 on April 11, 2007

As you can see, i have updated the site to a new funky red style. I was previously using a free wordpress theme i found until i designed my own. I had modified a theme released by SapiensBryan called AdsMinded (Thanks Bryan!). It was a good theme but i wanted to move the site along and give it its own identity.

I mentioned in a previous post that i was working on a new theme a few weeks ago. Well that one got scrapped and i went back to the drawing board and designed what i call ‘Funky Red’.

BT Funky Red

The style isnt 100% complete as yet but its close enough for me to launch it.

I still need to work on the comments and a few other areas im not too pleased with. However i can work on these in my wordpress test area so you probably wont even notice the changes.

I should have this style for a while however if i change it in the future i may offer it as a free theme.

:)

I made some more changes to the theme today. It started off with 3 sidebars. Since the page is 1000 pixels wide it forced the main blog area to be around 450 which was just too small. So i removed on the sidebars and the site now has a left and right sidebar. This has allowed me to increase the main content area to 610 pixels wide.

    :)
