Blog stats and users online

Posted by on 18th Mar 2007 WordPress Plugins 6 comments

i addded two new plugins today to the blog. Ive been looking at various plugins and found both of these from the same author – namely, Lester Chan.

WP UserOnline

The useronline plugin shows users online on your sidebar and on its own dedicated page. You can see the seperate page here.

WP Stats

The second plugin is called WP Stats. You can see the stats it displays for us here. The stats page shows loads of things including post stats, author stats and
comment stats.

The documentation for both of these plugins are great too so installation is a doddle. Both of these can be downloaded from here.

    Hi,
The users online plugin looks unbelievably helpful. I wish I could have it for my own blog. However, I use Blogger. Do you think there is any way I can get something very similar or exactly like this but it can be used on Blogger?
    Thanks,
    Tay

yeah i find it very helpful. i dont know too much about blogger if im honest Tay.

however if you can add basic php you will be able to include a standard users online script. all you need to do is upload one to your server and then make sure the users online link is on every page

Well, my old comment no longer applies! I’ve put this on my new blog :) It’s very helpful, I can see everything on my dashboard. However, whenever I go to superbloggingtips.com/useronline, the link it set for me, it says “page not found”. Do I have to create this page myself?

Do you happen to know how to easily check other blog's statistics such as RSS subscribers?
